Jennifer Garden

Owner / Operator

I started out as a professional Dancer, Singer, and Actress. I am a member of Actors' Equity Association and SAG - AFTRA. I performed on Broadway and all over the world, including Europe, Japan, and the Caribbean.

I then turned to fitness. My fitness career started at The Lotte Berk Method Studio, in Greenwich , CT, where I was trained in The Lotte Berk Barre Method. From there I went on to get my Group Fitness Instructor Certification through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America). I went on to teach various exercise methods, but kept coming back to the Barre Method. It is a wonderful way to strengthen the body and prevent injuries.

I always had a love of yoga and the calming effects that it has on your mind and body. I therefore decided to get my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification, Restorative Yoga Certification and Prenatal Yoga Certification, so I can bring that state of calm to others. I followed that up with my Pilates Comprehensive Certification. (Mat and all Pilates Apparatus)

I now have over 23 years in the Fitness industry, and I have decided to stick to my 3 loves, Yoga, Pilates, and Barre. I am constantly continuing my studies of these 3 classes in order to always bring you the best classes possible with the latest information learned by fitness science.

Penelope Sheely

I started practicing yoga 23 years ago right after my first son was born, and I had just finished my pediatric residency at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. While raising my kids I worked part time as a pediatrician first in the ER, then in my own practice for 5 years, and most recently at the Whole Child Center in Oradell, NJ. I became a Reiki II practitioner and I trained in Cranial Sacral Therapy with Dr. Ron Wish. Over the years I found myself using these practices more and more with my own kids and with my patients. I found that the more I practiced yoga, the better I felt. In 2016 I left the pediatric group. I then completed my 200 hour teacher training at Sonic Yoga in NYC, as well as 150 hours of advanced inversion training with Patrick Beach & Carling Harps, and Laughing Lotus Yoga. I am a marathoner and a triathlete. I am excited to share what I have learned from these experiences to help people to heal, to center, and to reach their highest potential.

Jennifer Krakowsky

Jen’s yoga journey began many years before setting foot on a yoga mat. At the age of 14, she went through major spine surgery to halt the progression of scoliosis. Many years later, suffering from chronic back pain as well as anxiety, Jen felt drawn to yoga. She immediately fell in love with yoga’s physical and mental benefits and came to realize that yoga offered her a path to both understanding her complicated spine and quieting her busy mind. Jen teaches with a focus on healthy alignment, body mechanics and breath. She approaches her students with the belief that each body is unique and carries with it its own history, limitations, strengths and weaknesses. Jen received her teaching certification at Yoga Haven under the direction of Betsy Kase. Jen has also studied with Elise Browning Miller, completing her training to become a Certified Yoga for Scoliosis Teacher. She is excited to join Jennifer Garden's studio and to share the gift of yoga with others.

Nicole Trotta

Nicole practiced competitive dance from age 7-18. While in college, she found her passion in yoga and has been practicing for the last 13 years. At age 14, Nicole received spinal surgery for scoliosis but did not let that hinder her from continuing her practice in dance instead, she became more in touch with her body and its limits and expectations. Through the practice of yoga, Nicole has been able to continue this practice and learn how to gain strength both mentally and physically, through different poses and breathing techniques. In the beginning of 2020, Nicole received her yoga certification in Vinyasa Yoga from Sonic Yoga, with a focus on Prenatal Yoga.
